El Jade Buffet Fowo

El Jade Buffet Fowo operates at Av. Aviación 2576 in San Borja and is the location of El Jade Restaurant Oriental —a house that, according to El Comercio's Provecho, was born in 1995 serving Chinese food and buffet— devoted to Chinese hot pot. It works on a fixed price: you choose broths, meats, seafood, vegetables, noodles, dim sum and sauces, and cook them on the table's burner for a maximum period; that same article reported a price of S/ 90 per person, which is worth confirming. Our take: it is one of the few places in Lima built end to end for hot pot, and it works best with a big table and time rather than as a quick meal. It is open Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 16:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00, and Saturdays and Sundays straight through from 12:00 to 22:00, according to Google. Reservations are arranged via WhatsApp; Google notes a private dining room, a kids' menu and its own parking.
