This location is in the Balboa Strip Mall, at Av. Vasco Núñez de Balboa 747, on the residential side of Miraflores, with a terrace and outdoor tables. The brand was born in 1970 in San Isidro; in 2002 Giorgio Badani and María Victoria Cruz bought the bakery in liquidation and turned it into a chain of café-restaurants with their own bread and pastry. People come for the bread, croissants and coffee, but the menu covers breakfasts, brunch, salads, mains and desserts; quiche and cappuccino are among what shows up most in diners' photos. Our take: it is the neighborhood bakery that grew into an all-day dining room, a safe bet for breakfast or an unceremonious lunch. It opens from 7:30 every day and until 23:00 Thursday to Saturday; it takes reservations and Google notes paid parking.
