Restaurante iqueño en la ruta de las bodegas de pisco, solo al almuerzo · · $$
La Olla de Juanita
Why we recommend it
It sits on the Carretera Jorge Chávez in San Juan Bautista, right on the stretch where Ica's pisco bodegas and tasting rooms line up: Nietto, Viña Margarita and Don Torres are steps away. The room is wide and rustic, with a cane roof and open-air tables. The menu is Ica-criollo cooking; among the dishes Google flags as popular are the veal seco and the duck rice with huancaína, while reviewers keep naming the carapulcra and the pisco. Our read: it is the restaurant that closes out the pisco route rather than a standalone stop, and the hours give it away — it opens only from 12:00 to 17:30 every day, so it is a long lunch with a glass, not dinner. It has a bar, a terrace, its own parking and high chairs, and takes reservations without requiring them; the entry records a 2025 Summum nomination as Ica restaurant and another for the 2026 Premios Somos. Curation note: the Google listing is unclaimed and publishes no website or "From the owner" photos, so the images are left empty.
