Mercado 28 Miraflores
Why we recommend it
Mercado 28 occupies the second floor at the corner of Av. Vasco Núñez de Balboa and Av. 28 de Julio, on a terrace in central Miraflores; its website presents it as Peru's first food market hall. It works as a food hall: several stalls share a dining room and bar, and among what appears most in diners' photos on Google are ceviche, jalea, seafood rice, sushi, burgers and pisco sour. Our take: it is the answer for the group that can't agree, with more of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant one, and it is worth going for the variety and the terrace rather than for one specific dish. It opens every day from noon and stays open until 1:00 from Thursday to Saturday; Google says dogs are welcome and that parking in the area is paid. Curation note: the official website does not list the current stalls or their hours, and the WhatsApp reservation link shown on Google no longer works; hours come from the Google listing.
