Blanca y Radiante
Five women taking apart everything they were taught about eternal love. Second run, after the first sold out.
Why go
"Blanca y radiante" — white and radiant — is how a bride gets described, and the play uses the phrase as a scalpel. Five women move through first times, inherited expectations and forever-promises, exposing the invisible rules nobody stated out loud but everyone learned.
The register is poetry and humour rather than denunciation, which is what keeps it from turning into a pamphlet. The staging is vivid — more choreographic than naturalistic — and that gives air to material that would be heavy in clumsier hands.
It arrives from a first run that sold out, which on Lima's small-venue circuit means something specific: it filled by word of mouth, not by advertising.
About this event
Five women make their way across the board game of life, between first times, imposed expectations and loves that promise to last forever. With poetry, humor and a vibrant staging, the play exposes the invisible rules we were taught about love, marriage and happiness. This is its second run, after a first season that sold out.
