Why go

The title is a phrase Peruvians say with a smile and little thought, and the whole show consists of taking it seriously to see what it hides. Milagros dismantles it from the inside, with irony rather than outrage.

The route runs through the roles that pile onto one person — mother, teacher, friend, girlfriend, wife, lover, mother-in-law — and the contradiction of all of them being expected at once. It's stand-up, not a lecture: the mechanism is the laugh of recognition.

It plays at La Estación de Barranco, a small room with tables, which is where this humour works best. The 2026 edition of a show with some road behind it.

About this event

A stand-up show by Milagros that questions and dismantles the phrase behind its title, using irony to explore the many versions of women: mother, teacher, friend, girlfriend, wife, lover and mother-in-law. A show to laugh and recognize yourself at La Estación de Barranco.

Practical info

Is it a feminist show?

Can men go?

Of course. Much of the material only works if someone in the room feels called out.
