About Museo Pedro de Osma
The Museo Pedro de Osma occupies a palace at Av. Pedro de Osma 421, in Barranco, and is run by the Fundación Osma. Its viceregal art collection brings together more than 400 pieces in 14 themed rooms, with works such as the "Virgen de la Almudena", the "Procesión del Corpus Christi" or the "Genealogía de los Incas", plus religious sculpture and furniture such as a viceregal chest of drawers (official website). Our take: it is the essential stop for viceregal art in Lima outside the Centre, and the palace is as much part of the experience as the rooms. It opens Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00. Admission is S/ 30 for Peruvians and S/ 35 for foreigners; students S/ 15/20, retirees S/ 20/30, children up to 10 free, and on the first Sunday of the month S/ 10 for Peruvians and residents; a guided tour adds S/ 10 per person. Photography and filming are not allowed inside.
