Cevichería piurana de noche con temática pirata · barranco · $$
Bucanieri
Why we recommend it
Bucanieri is at Av. Almirante Miguel Grau 107, about two blocks from Barranco's main square, in a space decorated like a pirate tavern. The idea, as its Piura-born founder Bruno Torchiani told Infomercado, was to serve ceviche at night, something unusual in Lima when it opened: ceviches, tiraditos, chicharrón, majado de yuca and seco, plus tiger's milk shots such as the piurana, the carretillera or the pantera and hot dishes like fish sudado and parihuela, according to the menu it posts on Instagram. Our take: it is a neighborhood cevichería with bar hours, more useful for a midnight craving than for a long lunch. It opens Tuesday to Sunday: evenings Tuesday to Saturday (until 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays) and at lunchtime only on weekends, according to Google. Curation note: the house website did not load during our review and we could not verify attributes such as payments or accessibility.
