The busiest beach on the Costa Verde, in Chorrillos, with municipal toilets and umbrella rental, and a serious litter problem that led to closing it for a Sunday in February 2026.

Agua Dulce is the sandy beach of the Costa Verde in Chorrillos, reached via the Bajada de Baños and its footbridge; the Municipality of Chorrillos calls it the district's "most emblematic beach". In June 2024 the municipality opened paid eco-toilets, and Google lists showers, toilets and umbrella rental. On peak days it draws between 60,000 and 70,000 people, according to mayor Richard Cortez; after collecting some 250 tonnes of rubbish since December, the municipality closed it as a precaution on Sunday 15 February 2026 and said it would consider repeating the measure (La República). Our take: it is the most accessible beach for Lima, but in high summer it is packed and how clean it is depends on the day; go early or avoid weekends. Entry is free and there are no set hours. Digesa has rated it unhealthy since December 2025 (La República, 09/02/2026); the rating changes, so check the Minsa Verano Saludable platform before going.
