It works as pastry shop, bakery and café at once, with the display case as the map: sandwiches on pan cristal —the butifarra and the chicharrón are the emblems—, empanadas and savoury pies, tamales and humitas for breakfast, alfajores, cakes by the slice and ice cream. It opens at 7am and closes at 11pm, every day, and the brand publishes its full priced menu on its own site. Our read: this isn't a place for lingering but for turnover —Google files it as a quick visit— which is why it works equally for breakfast before work, picking up a cake, or an afternoon stop. The Balboa branch is the most Miraflores of them all.
