Zig Zag

Zig Zag sits in a republican-era house on Calle Zela, steps from Arequipa's main square, and has spent more than two decades serving its signature dish: alpaca, beef and lamb cuts brought to the table on a hot volcanic stone that finishes the cooking in front of you. The menu crosses European technique with Andean produce and adds a salad bar, vegetarian and vegan options, good desserts and solid cocktails. The room keeps its sillar vaults and an iron staircase attributed to Eiffel's workshop. Open 12:00 to 22:00 every day.
