Cevicheria Conchitas Negras

Conchitas Negras is a lunchtime cevichería on Avenida Larco in Trujillo, and the name says what the house does best: northern black clams, served raw or folded into the ceviche. It opens Tuesday to Sunday from half past ten and closes at four — half an hour later at weekends — so lunch is the whole story. Our read: this is a big-family place rather than a romantic dinner: there is a children's menu, pets are welcome, there is on-site parking, and the room fills with students and full families on Sundays.
