Why we recommend it
El Huacatay is one of the Sacred Valley's fixed stops: a green-fronted house on Calle Arica, with a garden, a fireplace and a small dining room where chefs Noah and Pío work local produce — alpaca, trout, quinoa, herbs from the garden — in a contemporary Peruvian register. There is a good wine and tea list, vegan and vegetarian options, and it opens only at midday and early evening, Monday to Saturday. In 2025 it was nominated for Best Restaurant in Cusco at the Summum awards.
