Colisiones en la Alianza Francesa de Miraflores
TEATRO_ALIANZA_FRANCESA_01
Miraflores · 20 — 22 Jul
On a traffic-filled morning in northern Lima, the lives of a student, a traffic officer, a fare collector, and a combi minibus driver will cross paths in an unexpected event that will irreversibly transform their destinies. Colisiones, written and directed by Eduardo Ríos Cañamero, is one of the five winning works of the III Call for Support of the Performing Arts and Music by UPC 2025, which earned it a run at the Alianza Francesa de Miraflores 2026. This staging brings together a talented cast made up of Piero Rodríguez, Christian Ramírez, Jiro de la Vega, and Wedner Velásquez, who will bring to life a profoundly human and social story, set in an urban context that reflects the tensions, contradictions, and fragilities of our everyday coexistence. About the play Inspired by the physical concept of collision and by the complex problem of traffic accidents, the play offers a critical reflection on the social dynamics of cities marked by chaos, individualism, and a lack of empathy. Colisiones has been recognized for its artistic quality and thematic relevance. In this fourth season in 2026, the play returns after a three-year run with performances at the national and international level and several accolades that establish it as one of the most important stage projects of the Peruvian theater scene. Accolades Winner of the 3rd Cultural Projects Contest of the PUCP Office of Cultural Affairs 2023. Official selection of the WE:NOW Madrid International Arts Festival 2024. Honorable mention in the Letters category of the Yenuri Chiguala Cruz National Youth Award 2024. Official selection of the Theater in the Center Series by ICPNA Cultural 2024. Nominated for best show in the drama genre by Oficio Crítico 2024. Nominated for best Peruvian dramaturgy by the Teatro en el Perú Awards 2024. Official selection of the I Conera Culture Arts Festival 2025. Winner of the III Call for Support of the Performing Arts and Music 2025 by UPC Cultural. These accolades reflect the conceptual solidity and artistic excellence of the project, as well as its ability to engage with social issues in a deep and contemporary way. The play also has an accompanying published book containing commentary and analysis of the work, the original script, a text on the creative process from the perspective of dramaturgy, direction, and production, archival materials, photographs, and a map tracing the journey of all the characters. Consuelo Jerí en Concierto: un Viaje Sonoro por los Andes
TEATRO DE LA ALIANZA FRANCESA
Miraflores · Fri 24 Jul, 8:00 PM
Experience something unique with the voice of Consuelo Jerí and an ensemble that journeys through the best of the Andean repertoire, in Quechua and Spanish, highlighting the beauty of mestizo poetry! The concert moves from the intimacy of guitar and song to a powerful collective performance with traditional instruments and contemporary arrangements. A counterpoint of huaylías performed by young dancers from the southern Andes, with genres such as huaynos, yaravíes, harawis, and carnavales, in a deeply moving sonic journey. An invitation to reconnect with the memory, identity, and living richness of our Andean roots. Consuelo Jerí is a singer of Quechua origin from the southern Andes of Peru. She comes from a family of farmers who have historically cultivated ancient songs and traditions linked to agriculture, nature, the celebration of life, and deep human feelings, in a continuity that spans centuries. Her repertoire revalues anonymous Quechua poetry and is built in perfect communion with the mestizo guitar, which evokes the sounds of the harp and violin, using ancient traditional tunings of the Peruvian Andes. Recommended for ages 10 and up. Duration: approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Dear audience members, please keep the following in mind: Once the concert has begun, you will not be able to enter the hall. PRINCESAS EN TERAPIA
Miraflores · 26 — 28 Jul
What happens when princesses stop waiting for their prince and start talking about their traumas? Here comes PRINCESAS EN TERAPIA, an irreverent, funny, and chaotic musical comedy that pits fairy tales against reality. Blanca (Cielo Lobatón/Ariana Bernal), Cindy (Claudia Medina/Michelle Tolentino), Bela (Aletty Libise/Genesis Huacho/Oriana Mora), and Jazz (Elizabeth García/Alexandra Hernández) search for answers to their romantic problems, insecurities, and existential crises in the least expected place: a therapy session. Among awkward confessions, unexpected songs, and increasingly absurd situations, these modern princesses will discover that fairy tales did not prepare them for real life. With a musical repertoire that includes hits by Christina Aguilera, Paulina Rubio, Gloria Trevi, Mecano, Shakira, ABBA, and more, this production blends humor, nostalgia, and emotion in an experience that will make more than one person see themselves reflected on stage. SPECIAL FIESTAS PATRIAS SEASON July 26, 27, and 28 - Centro Cultural Ricardo Palma 6:00 and 8:00pm IMPORTANT Seat selection takes place on the day of the performance at the in-person box office.
